the 2016 route
I have to say that route planning is one of the most challenging aspects of the WMLR. At the same time, it is also one of the most exciting thing to do!
As is the case every year, the gang will have the opportunity to return to some familiar destinations and the excitement of visiting some brand new locations. On top of that, there are brand new experiences lined up that promises to open up a whole new aspect of the grand old destinations. Exciting!!!

We will start in Singapore and enter the peninsula at the Johor Bahru checkpoint. From there we will proceed north on the eastern side of the peninsula till Terengganu before heading east. We will be riding across the Titiwangsa range to the island of Pulau Pinang before heading south. towards the town of Ipoh. From there we head south east over the Cameron Highlands before arriving at one of the gateways to Taman Negara (the largest national park in the peninsula). From there we head south towards the west coast of the peninsula at Malacca before heading south west to Gelang Patah.
The journey will take us through eight states, covering more than 2000km of some of the best roads that West Malaysia has to offer. Couple this fantastic journey with the unique, delicious and hearty cuisine that the north east, north west, central and south west regions are best known for. Garnish all of that with the warm and hospitable people that we will encounter. Top if all off with the friendship and memories that will be built over the seven days together. This is what makes the WMLR an adventure of a lifetime!
Is there a place that you feel we should visit? An activity you feel we should participate in? A festival perhaps? Or a road that we should take? Let us know and we will see how to include them in our next adventure!
