2011 Day 4 destinations
There are a multitude of things to do and places to see in the Cameron Highlands where we will be spending the entire day. I have chosen a few selected places where we will be visiting during our stay…others will be added when we get there, of course. These two, though, are the ones that I would want to revisit from my younger days.
The first stop is the summit of Gunung Brinchang. This is the highest peak in West Malaysia accessible by road, and also the highest peak in the Cameron Highlands. Getting up there would be quite an interesting drive, I read, as there are some steep stretches. I suppose riding up would be an adventure of a completely different level!
The second stop will be made on the way down from Gunung Brinchang…a stop over at the Sungai Palas Tea Centre. I was here before when it was an old factory and a small tea house. I hear it is now a modern building with quite an impressive tea house. I can’t wait to get back and see how things have changed…and to enjoy a nice cup of hot tea after the exciting adventure up Gunung Brinchang.
One of the nice things about the Cameron Highlands is the multitude of places to visit along the main trunk road. I am sure we will be visiting quite a number of places on our rest day there. Woohoo!!!
