The 2010 route

The route will loop the entire West Malaysian peninsular starting in Johor Bahru (Woodlands checkpoint) and ending at Kampung Ladang (Tuas checkpoint). More interestingly, this route avoids the use of major expressways. The route will make use of many of the older trunk roads including Routes 1, 3, 4 and 5.

The ride will be divided into four main legs: Johor Bahru to Kuala Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu to Pulau Pinang, Pulau Pinang to Klang, and Klang to Kampung Ladang. Each leg is about 500 kilometers in length with stops in between for food, petrol, rest and fun!

With four main legs to the route, there will also be four main stops. Each of the stops will involve at least one overnight stay, with some warranting two. Take a look at the stops we are planning to make and give your suggestions on things to do, places to visit and food to try!

The legs are not just a means to an end. Each leg will take us through some beautiful roads and country. We will be avoiding the major expressways as much as possible…which means less than perfect road condition…and plenty of scenic vistas!

  1. bro, the most tricky part is ging from K. Trengganu to P. Penang. the routes looks complicated. unless you have someone familiar with that route, ur gona find it difficult to travel. ive never traveled dat route my self but someday, i will. but hey, dats one of the things about touring. if ur lost, ask around, get a map ur a gps. i prefered a map though gps is quite useful due to its modern navigation. d other routes seemed straight forward enough. anywayz, take care on ur journey. if im free, i’ll try to meet u guys somewhere on one of those days. ive added u to my facebook. feel free to ask any ques regarding d routes or watever. i’ll try my best to assist u.
